Who We Are

When you are diagnosed with a disease for which there is no known cause and no known cure , life seems very uncertain. If you haven't gone through this experience, you can never fully understand just what it means. You need to talk to someone who has "been there, done that". And that is exactly why we started the scleroderma support group in Slidell.

We are a non-profit group. We collect no dues. We do accept donations to provide money to copy and mail out our monthly newsletter "Insight", for computer paper and ink cartridges. We also encourage the donation of stamps to help defray the cost of postage for the newsletter. Every little bits helps and all donations are welcomed.

If you live in this area and want more information, contact Shirley Walterhouse at 504-643-4513.

We invite you to look at our photo albums. They are a graphic history of our growth.
And they put human faces on those who have helped us to grow and develop into a strong group.
